Hannah is a senior economics major and Spanish minor. Hannah enjoys Sewanee for how it allows her to develop strong relationships throughout the community. Hannah has pursued this passion through creating and leading the Business Development and Marketing Team. At BD&MT, Hannah explores her passion for web design and leadership. Hannah enjoys working with BD&MT because she loves this community and wants to see it achieve its full potential. Through the last three years, Hannah has gained extensive experience in web design and marketing as through designing multiple websites for community partners.

Ashley is a freshman mathematics and economics double major. She grew up in the tri-county area and knew early on in high school that, for an educational institution to fit her needs, it would need to emphasize community. Ashley enjoys working with the BD&MT for how it grants her opportunities to explore new topics as well as strengthen her current skill-set. She feels strongly about the importance of small, local businesses having and active web presences. She hopes that through BD&MT she can build stronger relationships within the community in which she was raised.

Olivier is a freshman studio art and computer science double major and economics minor. He made the choice to attend Sewanee because of its academic reputation. He joined BD&MT because he felt as though his experience as an artist, tutor, and leader would contribute in a positive manor to the growth of the program. As an international student, Olivier has worked with business and educational institutions of all sizes in Rwanda.  He objective is to promote effective and successful teamwork through BD&MT through active engagement in the team, its work, and his own individual projects.

Elon is a junior women’s and gender studies major and religious studies minor.  Elon has always been captivated by Sewanee’s tradition, values, and sense of community. Elon joined the BD&MT team through the Bonner Leadership Program because she wanted to explore topics such as marketing and gain a better understanding of our campus’s connections to the local community as a whole. Since Elon also works with admissions, she is very familiar with the campus, the community, and branding, which allow her to think outside of the box when it comes to design and marketing.  BD&MT offers Elon the opportunity to develop leadership and practical skills that will assist her in life after college.
